Overview

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bensenville, Illinois is pleased to offer its members and visitors liturgical worship in a historic (Civil War Era Sanctuary) setting. Our church was established in 1837. For our Sunday services we use the traditional Common Divine Service 3, from the Lutheran Service Book.These are filled with beauty and reverence, as we continue to worship as the faithful have done for thousands of years. The Lord's Supper is served every Sunday and additional Feast Days. Full chanted liturgy, reverence, a nice loud organ. Pastor faces East and reverences the elements, bells are rung. Pastor uses the Historic One Year Lectionary, based out of the Lutheran Missal Project. NKJV Bible is read, preached from, and studied. Pastor emphasizes preaching and teaching of the Holy Bible. Law and Gospel, Word and Sacrament full blast. Please visit our website for additional seasonal service times. Closed Communion is strictly enforced by our Pastor and the Elder deacons. Please notify them before visiting or when you arrive that you would like to receive the Lord's Supper.
