Overview
Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne, Missouri is a confessional, liturgical, evangelical, Lutheran congregation.Join us on Sunday morning at 9am for Divine Service as God’s baptized saints gather around His rightly preached Word and faithfully administered Sacraments.Sunday School and Bible Study follow Divine Service at 10:30am.Scripture readings and preaching follow the historic 1-Year Lectionary.Divine Service, Setting 3 is used every second and third Sunday and Festival with DS1 and DS4 being used on the 1st and 4th Sunday’s, respectively.The Lord’s Supper is celebrated every Sunday.The only exceptions are Non-Festival 5th Sunday’s, upon which we pray the office of Matins. Communion Statement:As our Lord comes to us in His Body and Blood, we receive Him according to His Word: “This is My body” and “This is My blood.” It is not our supper, but His. We believe, teach, and confess the gifts and warnings attached to the Lord’s Supper (See Matt. 26:26-28, Lk. 22:17-20 and 1 Cor. 11:23-29). Visitors wishing to receive the Sacrament or learn more about this Biblical practice should speak with Pastor Bibb before the service. Communicant members in good standing of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregations may commune at this altar.
