Greetings in Christ,Here at St. Paul we celebrate and receive the gifts of God in the Divine Service weekly. We follow the liturgy from our Lutheran tradition according to the hymnal Lutheran Service Book. We are "strange" in that we rotate weekly through the Divine Service Settings of our hymnal (DSS1 on the 1st Sunday of the month, DSS2 on the 2nd Sunday of the Month, etc.). Each of the settings have liturgical strengths and weaknesses. We like to lean into the strengths in order to gain from a fuller inheritance of liturgical expression. We follow Matins (with the Service of the Sacrament from DSS3) when 5th Sundays occur. We hold Bible Study after Service from 10:30-11:15. This is also the time for our Sunday School (only during the school year).We have Advent and Lenten suppers from 4:45 until 5:45, prior to our 6 p.m. service. We follow the orders of Vespers, Evening Prayer, Compline, The Litany, etc. from the LSB hymnal during these midweek evening services. We have a beautiful pipe organ, a large 100+ yr old sanctuary, and a kind and friendly congregation.If you are a visiting member in good standing from a member congregation of the LCMS, AALC, or other Lutheran body with which we are in Altar and Pulpit Fellowship, please contact or speak to Pastor Grannis prior to service to request admission to the Sacrament of the Altar.WARNING TO VISITORS: We are parallel to an ELCA congregation (St. John's).
