Good Shepherd is a welcoming and lively congregation who will make you feel at home immediately and won’t stop talking to you if you give them the chance! Good Shepherd takes Lutheran identity very seriously with the full divine service, alter rails for communion, chanting, and enthusiastic hymn singing. Pastor Adam is a very good preacher and exegete who simultaneously preaches with great depth along with passion and inflection – demonstrating the harshness of the Law and the sweetness of the Gospel – as well as very good theological nuggets to ponder/store in your brain.Good Shepherd has numerous activities going on outside of the Sunday Divine service with Sunday Bible Study at 9:00am as well as Book Club/Bible Study on Tuesdays, a youth group, and observance of many special holidays throughout the Church year with full divine services where suited (Circumcision and Name of Jesus, Epiphany of Our Lord, Candlemas, Ash Wednesday, Feast of the Annunciation, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, Ascension of Our Lord, Feast of the Visitation, Mary the Mother of the Lord, St. Michael and All Angels).I would recommend this church to anyone who is looking for a truly Lutheran Church.
