Overview

Greetings in Christ!Welcome to Concordia Lutheran Church in Forsyth, MT. We are a confessional Lutheran congregation, part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We believe that God's Word is the Word of God. This Word is the source and norm for everything we believe, teach, and confess. We believe this Word reveals God's activity in the world, which is most clearly articulated in the three Ecumenical Creeds. We believe that Jesus is God and Jesus is man. His perfect life and his substitutionary death appeased God's wrath and reconciled all people to the Father. Through God's Word of Law and Gospel, the Holy Spirit creates and sustains faith in believers. We believe we are saved by grace through faith and not by our works. We believe that those who have faith in Christ, who have received Christian Baptism, and share our confession of faith are welcome to receive Christ's Body and Blood in the Sacrament of the Altar. We practice closed Communion, not as a way of separating ourselves from others, but as a way of inviting others to confess the truth, revealed in God's Word.
